Trump named Time’s Person of the Year

On December 7th, Time Magazine released that Donald Trump would be the 90th Person of the Year. This has elicited an adverse reaction from many of the magazine’s readers, due to the usually liberal leaning of the magazine’s audience.

By definition, the Person of the Year is supposed to be the person who had the greatest influence, for better or for worse, on the events this year. The challenge for Donald Trump is how divided the country is on whether his influence better or worsened the state of America.

Time magazine has decided on Trump as the Person of the Year for not only his influence, but as a chance to discuss the divide in the nation that his campaign has caused. It will be interesting to see how Time Magazine will describe his effect over this past year, for good and for bad.
