A Charlie Brown Christmas

Why do some people start getting into the Christmas spirit in October and November? Maybe it’s because of all the wonderful Christmas music out there or maybe it’s because stores start releasing Christmas stuff as soon as a single leaf falls to the ground. Spreading Christmas joy early isn’t so bad, but for the people around you that are still waiting for Halloween and Thanksgiving to be over, they might get a little annoyed. So for everyone wondering why us Christmas fanatics get a little over excited over the holiday season, here’s why.

  1. As I said, Christmas music is the best kind of music. With all the amazing artists out there releasing Christmas albums, it’s hard to resist the temptation of some jingle bells. Michael Buble is one of many artists to create some catchy Christmas tunes which take over the radio in December.
  2. Christmas food. I mean, what’s there not to like? You’ve got these delicious festive foods which are only good around this time of year. So find your stretchiest sweatpants because you won’t be able to button your jeans for much longer.
  3. My favorite part of the holiday season are all the Christmas lights. Whether it’s lights on a tree, lights on a house or any sort of festive lighting, I’m all for it. I can pretty much guarantee there will always be some sort of Christmas lighting in my room when the first day of November hits. Then I’m in full Christmas mode.
  4. Let’s not forget about all those amazing Christmas movies out there. For example, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Miracle on 34th Street, The Polar Express, ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas, and many more. All these movies bring me back to my childhood watching them in my living room with my whole family surrounding the Christmas tree. You can’t have a successful holiday season without these Christmas classics.

So why do we celebrate Christmas early? Well, for all these reasons exactly. Being a Christmas enthusiast myself, I wish Christmas lasted all year long. It’s the most wonderful time of the year where everybody is happy and spending time with their families and friends. Why wouldn’t we want that to last 365 days out of the year? I say enjoy Christmas while you can because it’ll be over before you know it.
