MHS Spring Sports schedule

March 30th marks the opening day of high school spring sports. Spring sports athletes have been preparing for the start of the season since the first days of March. Three hour long practices and scrimmages in the cold have all led up to this one day. For some athletes, this is just one of many seasons during the year, but for others it is what they have been waiting all year for. Due to the cut policy that was recently put in place, tryouts were held for the various sports in the first few days of practice. Spring sports last until late May or early June depending on how far a team gets in states. This means that players have to be able to adapt to the drastic temperature changes. The season starts off with temperatures below freezing and can end in the 90s. For seniors, this is their last chance to make states or win a state championship, and for many it may be their last time playing sports.
