Come support the music department at Madison High School by buying your mattress here! Name brand mattress (Simmons and Restonic) are being sold, which are the same kind as you can get at Sleepy’s, Sears, or Macy’s. The proceeds from the sale go to the music department, so as students sell a pretty big chunk of that profit goes right back to the music department. Not only does the music department get the proceeds but if students refer people to buy their mattresses from this sale, they get $75 to $175 back to put into their individual accounts. There are both pickup and delivery service, so if you have a bed that needs to be taken out of your home it will be taken care of. The delivery service delivers the mattress right to your door, so you don’t have to take the mattress home the day that you buy it.

1 in 10 people buy a new mattress every year. “There are about 24,000 people in Madison and we are hoping that 1 in 10 are going to buy from us. That’s 2,400 people, which would be very very cool,” Mr. Batsch said.

The mattress sale is fundraising for the Disney trip this year. This year marks the first time that this trip will occur and all students in the music department have the opportunity to go on this trip. This trip is years in the making so make sure to come and support the music department. “It is fundraising for the Disney trip this year, we are trying to offset the cost because the trip costs $1,300 per student that is going. We are trying to give the students the best opportunity to pay down that debt a little bit,” says Mr. Batsch.
