For the past two weeks the 2018 winter Olympics have taken place in PyeongChang, South Korea. The competition this year has been mixed with veteran athletes closing out their careers and young prodigies looking to establish names for themselves.

Here are some of the top stories for America:

  • Shaun White claims his third gold medal for halfpipe snowboarding
  • 17 year old Chloe Kim earns a gold for the halfpipe
  • 17 year old Red Gerard earns a gold for snowboarding/slopestyle
  • Lindsey Vonn claims bronze in what will likely be her final Olympics
  • USA women’s hockey team beats Canada in finals to take gold, for the first time since 1998
  • 22 year old Mikaela Shiffrin takes a silver in alpine skiing and a gold in giant slalom
