Leading up to the Superbowl everyone had a feeling it would be a fairly low scoring game. The Seattle defense has been outstanding all year and the Patriots defence has also been consistently impressive. No one, however, would have wagered that there would be no touchdowns by half time. The score at half time was 9-0 depicting both the killer defense and the importance of the special teams for the Seahawks both in the superbowl, and all season leading up to it.
The halftime performance came through with some interesting statistics. Bad Bunny ended his time on the field with 124 rushing yards with a football while the patriots ended the game with only 79. The half time show faced lots of criticisms leading up to the performance but the actual show turned out to be a success, he brought out guests Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga, both wildly successful on their own who only added to peoples opinions of the show.
The second half came with a bit more action, although the third quarter only brought three more points for the Seahawks they entered the fourth quarter winning 12-0. Finally in the last quarter of Superbowl 60 there were touchdowns scored by both teams, causing the final score to be 29-13 crowning Seattle the Superbowl 60 champions. This defense battle for the Lombardi trophy really goes to show how defense wins championships.
