IMG_6709Congratulations to many MHS students who were recognized by the Papermill Playhouse for their performances in the spring musical, The Little Mermaid! Each year, Millburn’s Papermill Playhouse holds a ceremony to honor high school musicals across the state in their annual Rising Star Awards.

This year, the Mersisters received an honorable mention for their performance as a small group. They performed numbers such as “She’s In Love” and “Daughters of Triton”. The students who performed as Mersisters were seniors Kathryn McManus and Grace Van Cleef, sophomores Emma Schuszler, Aileen Bergin, and Molly McCarthy, and freshman Alex Mrozcko. Congratulations girls!

Max Vigotov, a junior, was nominated for his role of “Scuttle” for an Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role. He was among six other nominees from other schools around the state. Max will be recognized at the Rising Star Awards Gala in June. This nomination has been the first ever nomination for the spring musical that Madison has ever received. Congratulations and good luck Max!

Another honorable mention was given to Zach Pizza for his lighting achievement for the show. He designed every lighting cue for The Little Mermaid. Congratulations!

Congratulations to all participants of this year’s spring musical. The nominations and honorable mentions were well deserved!
