As we transition into Madison’s 2026 Spring Track and Field season, we can see that senior standout Rohan Tucker is already making big strides. With Tucker’s record of excellence, his killer kickoff, and his promising future outlook, he is quickly becoming someone to watch on the track.
Tucker’s older sister, Ella Tucker (‘24), was an outstanding runner herself, setting school records for events like the 100 meter, 200 meter, and 300 meter. Ella was a major factor to the girls track team, and with her success on the track, she went off to continue her athletic career at Ithaca College.
Coming into his first season, Tucker knew he had a lot to live up to with his family name. With this in mind, the moment he stepped onto the track as a freshman, it was clear he would be one of Madison’s top sprinters. Tucker races in many of the events including the 100, 200, and 400 meter dash, as well as 400 meter hurdles. Now, like his sister, Rohan is breaking school records, some even set by himself from prior years. He currently holds a record for the 400 meter dash at 49.22 seconds, 21.48 seconds for the 200 meter dash, and 10.69 seconds for the 100 meter dash.
Tucker actively seeks every opportunity to grow as a competitor, which for him means staying active throughout the whole year. Although he focuses on staying in peak condition through offseason training, Tucker also performs indoor/winter track as well. Like spring track, he holds many of the school records for winter track events. For the 55 meter dash, Tucker ran a staggering 6.53 seconds, and for the 300 meter dash, a massive 35.40 seconds. This shows that no matter the season, Tucker seems to bring the same amount of intensity and dedication, both of which help maintain a high level of performance.
In addition to being an exceptional racer, Tucker also partakes in the field aspects of track and field. He is a major competitor in Long Jump, and Tucker’s ability to succeed in multiple events shows his versatility as an athlete.
As a senior captain, Tucker not only contributes to the team through his athleticism, but now through his leadership. He has become the backbone of the boys team overall, leading every underclassman and young athlete on the Madison track and field team, and setting the tone with his excellent work ethic and commitment to the sport.
Looking ahead, Tucker plans to attend Coastal Carolina to run for the men’s track team, following a similar path to his sister, and continue his academic and athletic career for the next 4 years.
