The Madison tennis team is looking to follow up a very historic and successful 2025 season that included winning a sectional championship and a state championship appearance. After winning the state sectional finals against Mountain Lakes by a score of 3-2 the dodgers will look to replicate that type of success again this year however, the tennis team graduated many seniors from the 2025 season including big contributors like Luke Cimino, Dashiell James, Brody Dineen and Scott Sullivan and also lost Charlie Bibee who no longer attends Madison high school. Madison is looking forward to players such as Bryce Curey, Joey Koczera, Raphael Joiris and Chris Wu and many more players upcoming seasons.
Madison already has had one match so far this season, which took place against the Randolph Rams on March 27th, and Madison won by a score of 4-1. The Dodgers are looking to build off this win, and Rapheal Joiris had a really strong performance, winning his singles set matches both by a score of 6-1. The Dodgers next 5 upcoming matches are against the following teams on the following days, April 9th vs Kinnelon, April 13th at Mendham, April 16th at New Providence, April 17th at Caldwell and April 20th at Parsippany. The Dodgers also play Mountain Lakes twice this season, and those are 2 really important matches and both are rematches from the sectional championship last year. Both teams will be looking forward to these matches which take place on Tuesday April 28th, and Tuesday May 5th. Also their match against Caldwell will be a rematch from last year’s sectional semi finals, which the Dodgers also won and this should also be an exciting match.
After losing the state championship last year the dodgers are very hungry and eager to get back to the state championship and win this time, and they players they have this year are really talented and they believe that they could be back there this year, and after the first game they had this year, you could see the pieces they have that make them really good. The Dodges boys tennis team is back and they are looking to be better than ever.
