The Madison High School boys baseball team begins their season on March 30th, 2026 with their first game against Pequannock High school. Madison, led by head coach Brian Weingart is composed heavily of seniors with their thirteen person varsity team having ten seniors members. The team lineup includes seniors: Liam Melvin, Andrew Haviland, Carter Ferris, Peter McGuire, Brady Sodano, Jackson Strauss, Luke McGuire, James Doehner, Chris Vaughan, Pat Layng. The team’s future leaders, the juniors, include: Mac Russo, Andrew Forte, Tom Ferraiolo. Madison boys Baseball team is 1st in the highly competitive NJAC Liberty division playing with many players going on to play Division 1, 2, or 3 baseball in college.
The 2026 season opens with two games against Pequannock on March 30th and April 1st. Pequannock has won over Madison three out of their last five games so Madison is eager to try and recover this record. Shortly after the game against Pequannock, Madison will face off with both Morris Knolls High School and Hannover Park High School. The Morris Knolls High School game will take place on April 4th. Hannover Park High School is a known rival of Madison High School and the two back to back games are sure to stir up excitement among the student bodies. The Hannover Park games will be on April 6th and April 8th. A big competitor of Madison High School and a top baseball team in the area is Roxbury High School. Roxbury High School is in the NJAC American division and a highly competitive team. Madison High School challenged Roxbury High School on April 10th. The first few games Madison has lined up are big competitors and will make for exciting games.
Madison High School’s statistics from the 2024-2025 season show our players potential and previous successes. The biggest contributors to Madison High School’s stats are this season’s seniors and leaders. During pitcher and 3rd baseman Chris Vaughan’s junior year he had an impressive 28 runs, 28 hits, 37 runs batted in, and 7 home runs. Additionally Vaughan had a .412 batting average and a .882 slugging percentage, contributing massively to the teams total. Another major contributor to last season’s statistics is the current senior, Andrew Haviland. In Haviland’s junior year, the 2024-2025 season, he had 29 hits and a slugging percentage of .547. Both players are major contributors to the 2024-2025 season stats and players to watch for the 2025-2026 season.
