Madison Field Hockey: Scoring Wins Across the Field

As the Madison Field Hockey team nears the close of their season, their hard work and persistent training over the past couple of months has become evident in their most recent wins on the field.

Just this past Tuesday the girls played Parsippany Hills, with both Varsity and JV winning their games with scores 5-0 and 3-0, respectively. During the Varsity game, junior Payton Martins and sophomore Sarah Kate Preston each earned their first goal of the season, contributing to the team’s impressive victory.

This season, several Varsity individuals have proven themselves as top athletes not to be underestimated by their competition. Senior Chloe Niceberg acquired 10 goals so far this season, with junior Ally Brosie following closely behind with 9 goals and 13 total assists.  Representing Madison High School, Ally Brosie is currently in the running to be named the top junior field hockey player in the state of NJ.

After only a couple of months, the girls have utilized their training, skills, and communication to establish themselves as the team to beat in their conference.  With an impressive ranking of 2nd out of 30 teams, it’s safe to say that the girls have had a victorious season, and will only continue to go up from here. Next up the team is onto their highly anticipated post-season to play a series of games with the goal of winning states. Best of luck Dodgers!
