Rileigh Baggett: Senior Athlete and Friend

Rileigh Bagget is a Senior at MHS, and an extremely talented, multi-sport athlete. Rileigh loves to hang out with her friends and go on long drives, and spends her time wisely during her senior priv hours.

Rileigh has four pets! Two dogs and two cats. All of her pets have creative names, like her dogs Knox and Delilah. Her mom named her cats Romeo and Juliet. All of these things may make Rileigh seem like a typical senior, she is so much more.

Rileigh is a student-athlete.  She has been playing soccer, basketball and lacrosse since she was little.  She has been playing lacrosse since the age of four and has gone above and beyond; this upcoming school year she will be attending Wagner College as a midfielder for their lacrosse team! Best friend and a teammate of Rileigh’s, Katherine Finnegan, when asked “what does Rileigh mean to you as a friend and a teammate?” responded with, ¨wow, that’s not so simple. I would say on and off the field she is one of the nicest people I’ve met, she cares and puts all her effort into sports, she gives everything to her team and her teammates.¨  When asking Ms. Lisa DiTuro, a teacher and coach of the girls basketball team, on what Rileigh means to her as a student and an athlete, Ms. DiTuro said, ¨Rileigh Bagget is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever met.  She is a tremendously committed individual who gives her maximum effort at all moments on the court. She is a consummate team player who has earned the respect of all of her coaches and teammates.  I have always admired her for her tenacity and her ability to be fierce and competitive on the court and then step off and be a kind and thoughtful teammate and friend.  In class, she showed that same character and integrity. She is thoughtful, intelligent and tenacious.¨
