Scientists in Brazil have discovered 8 new species of whip spider, a type of creature related to spiders and scorpions with huge mandibles and thin, whiplike front arms.  This makes Brazil the country with the largest number of whip spider species in the world.

Pop star Kesha was told by a Manhattan Supreme Court judge that she cannot cancel her contract that binds her to Dr. Luke, a man who drugged and raped her when she was only 18. Sony has offered her to work with another producer, but it’s widely known that Kesha would lose almost any promotion she previously had. Dr. Luke was never criminally charged for the rape, and Kesha must continue to face him frequently as she is bound to her record contract.
