For many dodgers, the sight of Madison High School is brand new every first day of school, but for a large a larger number of dodgers, the sight of MHS is already part of their daily routine. Since July, Fall athletes have been preparing for their upcoming season and hoping to make it even better than before. Fall athletes have been known to have the longest off seasons while still being the most prepared for their season. From the heat of July to the snow of November, all fall sports carry with them a platform for all other sports to follow. AD Mr. Dowling explains that all MHS sports are already on the right path because of a 100% retention rate of coaches. With years of success under all coaches belts the male and female athletes of the fall season hope to have great success.

A hectic time of year comes with many packed sidelines and eager athletes waiting alongside the fields. The Marching Dodgers, led by drum majors Sarah Wong and Jordan Marino, beat the way for senior Football captains Dom Luppino and Petar Haboj, who plan to continue the team’s past success and win a state title. Both Girls and Boys Soccer hope to use the skills of captain Tim Azzolini and Bailey Hurst, who is on her way to the Bucknell Soccer team, to power past our across town rival, Hanover Park, to a county final. MHS’s storied Field Hockey program hopes to use its six college commits and senior captains Emilie Flamme, Emma Ticknor, Stephanie Dellavia, Caroline Turnbull, Kaitlyn DaSilva, and Amanda DaSilva to end the season with a state title. The warriors of the Track, led by senior Caroline Kranfuss, hope to use the skills taught by Doc L to have a successful season. Hidden, but not forgotten,  the Girls Tennis team led by seniors Alex Lahie, Mckenzie Kapp, and Ciara Fagan hope to power through the cold and capture a singles championship. Shielded from the cold, the Girls Volleyball team hopes to be a powerhouse while being led by Katherine Clark and Rebecca Garcia. All Dodger competitors of the fall hope to use their long preseasons to start the year off with a bunch of winning teams.
