Hillary Clinton confirmed the obvious in April, officially announcing that she will be running for President in the 2016 Election. She took to the internet to announce that she is going to run for President. Hillary tweeted, emailed and posted a video to announce her campaign.

Hillary Clinton is a strong force in American politics and has held many positions in the US government. She started as the first lady when Bill Clinton was President, she was a US Senator and she was the Secretary of State in Obama’s first term.

Hillary made history when she ran for President in 2008 being the first woman to win presidential primary races. Although she was unsuccessful becoming President in 2008, Obama elected her as his Secretary of State. She held this position for his whole first term.

She has recently started her campaign with their main slogan:

“Everyday Americans need a champion, I want to be that champion”
