Boehner did not seem perturbed by the ridiculousness of his potential poisoner.

U.S Representative John Boehner’s prior bartender apparently had planned on murdering him by poisoning his wine at a country club he regularly attended. The man, Michael Hoyt, worked at the Wetherington Country Club in Ohio. He was known to the establishment as  “Bartender Mike”. Apparently, Hoyt heard voices that informed him that Mr. Boehner was evil, the source of the Ebola outbreak, and had cost him his job from complaints in regards to his service.

The man informed police through an email, “If I had any intention of hurting Mr. Boehner, I could have poisoned his wine at Wetherington many, many times.” However, he was fired before he had gotten the chance. Hoyt was found to possess several guns and ammunition in his home, as well as a journal that reportedly had the name “John Boehner” inscribed in it as well as “Ebola”. He also claimed to be Jesus Christ and believed that killing Boehner would get rid of his “evil” influence.  Hoyt had a psychotic episode two years prior and is now being held for 72 hours in a psychiatric facility.

When questioned about the alleged conspirator, John Boehner simply said that you just “can’t make this stuff up.”
