Undefeated thus far this season, the Dodger Varsity Hockey team is staying strong after the most devastating loss: the death of their mascot.

This past Sunday, Dodger Hockey won their 14th straight game against Pequannock 6-1. Our boys’ hockey team obviously has done nothing but succeed so far. Not only is our team undefeated, but they also have several other accomplishments this season. On an individual level, sophomore Kavi Sinha earned the title of December Player of the Month for Morris County. At the Essex County Winter Holiday Hockey Tournament, the team won 3-0, beating Nutley, Livingston, and Tenafly in the process. Because of Madison Hockey’s fantastic accomplishments, they earned the top 15 for MSG Varsity in NJ Hockey and hockey advantage.

Senior Jake Nittolo commented, “This is very big for us because this has never been done before at Madison: to have this many wins or have a season like we have been [experiencing]. We’ve been looking good and we just have to keep playing like we have been so we can carry into the playoffs and hopefully give Madison its first Haas Cup.”

There are 4 seniors this year on Dodger Hockey: Jake Nittolo, Chris Rogers, Kyle Midlige, and Harrison Myer who are clearly guiding their team in the right direction this season. Best of luck to Madison Dodger Hockey!
