If you thought your Thursday afternoon was crazy, it was certainly less chaotic then what occurred in Florham Park on March 14, 2025. Sirens were blaring, and a stolen vehicle was flying down the streets. It was straight out of an action movie, except it was real.
Around 1:15 pm, the Florham Park police spotted a car driving erratically. They tried pulling it over, but the driver, 50 year old Brian Joseph Blazen, from Toms River, was not complying. Instead of stopping, he floored it, leading the cops on a high-speed chase through town. People on the road had to dodge out of the way as Blozen weaved through traffic like he was in The Fast & Furious.
The chase ended in a major way when Blozen completely lost control and slammed into a tree at the intersection of Vreeland and Hanover roads. The car was totaled, and emergency responders had to pull him out of the wreck. He was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries. There was also a passenger in the car, but they only suffered minor injuries and were let go without any charges
Once the police got a handle on the situation, it was clear that Blozen had committed multiple crimes. He’s now facing a whole list of charges, including running from the cops (eluding),driving a stolen car, crashing and hurting people (assault by auto), having drugs on him, driving under the influence.
In other words, he’s not getting behind the wheel anytime soon.
