Girls Basketball Dominates Kinnelon During Senior Night
This past Tuesday, the Madison girls basketball team came out victorious while celebrating the graduating seniors, Rileigh Baggett, Gwen Tuhy, Gwen Eilender, Erin Kleiven, and Alex Reigle. After that game, their record stands at 12-3-0, after pulling out an outstanding 71 points, for their celebration.
The night started off strong with the presentation of speeches and posters made by juniors Katherine Finnegan, Ashley Driscoll, and Beau Braverman, and sophomores Gabby Mariani and Charlotte Tuhy. The speeches were short and sweet and overall spoke about the impact the seniors have had on their peers and how they will be missed in years to come.
All the seniors started, and the first basket was a three-pointer from senior Gwen Tuhy. The game progressed and Madison clearly had control; even after the first quarter, the score was already 19-5. The game itself had impressive stats with everyone being put into the books, whether it was a steal, a couple of points, or a rebound. Sophomore Devon Johnson says that she’ll “miss the seniors a lot. They are such a huge part of [the] team and it won’t be the same without them next year.”
We thank the seniors for their contributions over the years and we can’t wait to see where the future takes them!
