Bowling

This year’s Madison High School bowling team has recruited several new Juniors and Seniors to the team. Three of these newcomers are Jack McGuire (Junior), Jack Irwin (Junior), and Will Forester (Senior). All three of which had not participated in or been on any competitive bowling team in their lives.

During this year’s Media Press Conference, Forster stated that the Bowling head coach, Mr. Diamante “Really Sold us on it” and that it would be a good way to pass the time when they’re “bored on a Friday night.” McGuire admitted that their team “is not very experienced,” but that “we will try our best to get better and better and hopefully here and there win a couple matches”. Head Coach Diamante even says, “we are a team made up of all bowlers new to the sport. I look forward to teaching them the sport. “

McGuire and Forster’s main goal for the season is to get over 200 during a match. Irwin expressed a desire to grow and develop the program. Since they are all upperclassmen they do not have much time to fulfill these goals.

The team itself practices three days a week and says that the practices are “pretty chill” and stress-free. They describe themselves as if they were family and that they have a tight bond. The team includes Amal Fakher 9th, Daania 9th, Gianna 9th, Brooke Chayut 9th, Brennan Cullis 9th, Marybeth Forrester 11th, Jack Irwin 11th, Jack McGuire 11th, Andrew Bishop 11th, William Forrester 12th, Jason Bauman 12th, and Anthony Contessa 12th. This is a humongous growth from last year’s team which only had five players. It should be noted that one only is a returning player.

As of now bowling has played a total of three matches, and has lost all of them. The score for all of them is a bleak 0-7. The stats regarding Madison’s players have not been posted yet.

If you want to watch one of their home matches you can find them at Rockaway Lanes.
