It has been a great year thus far for the Madison Dodger soccer team, as they faced both 7th ranked Scotch Plains (tie 1-1) and 5th ranked Westfield (win 1-0), and currently have a record of 4-0-1. Off to a hot start, the Dodgers are currently ranked 8th best high school soccer team in the state of New Jersey.
The Dodgers take on Mount Olive in their next game and look to build on their record. In their most recent game, the Madison Dodgers shut out the Pequannock Panthers on the road 3-0 with two goals scored by Justin Macrina, and one by Liam Goldberg.
The Dodgers have had all this success even with captain Gui Dos Santos out with an injury. In a recent interview, he was asked how far he was along the rehab process and he said that he is “ahead of schedule” on his rehab and “it’s only a matter of time” before he will be back out there.
The Dodgers take on Mount Olive today at home, the Marauders currently have a 4-3 record. After today, the next 5 games the Dodgers play are home against Whippany Park (currently 5-0), home against Mountain Lakes (currently 3-3), home against MIlburn (currently 2-3), away against Morris Knolls (currently 5-2) and home against Chatham (currently 4-1).
Off to a fast start, the Dodgers are looking to continue their success thus far this season, across the rest of the year. In the near future they will continue to be tested by great teams and hope to continue their success.
