Madison Dodgers Field Hockey is back on the field after coming off their scorching hot 22 win season. After losing 7 seniors who were big contributors to the team in prior years, underclassmen such as Lindsay Catchpole, Celia Stuart, and Grace Garrity are stepping up in a big way for the 2025-26 season.
The Dodgers have won 5 of their 6 games so far this season, steamrolling their way through Pequannock, Boonton, Whippany Park, Montclair, and the challenging West Morris.
With a total of 12 goals and 29 points so far this season Junior captains Catchpole and Stuart are laying down the foundation for a strong season. Along with Senior Scarlet Baisch who is still doing her part on the turf adding 3 goals and 8 points.
Captain Linsday Catchpole, has just announced her commitment to continue her field hockey career at Michigan. When talking about the environment of the team this year she emphasized that for the underclassmen they “try to make sure they’re comfortable as quickly as possible because they need to understand how big of an impact they can be to this team”. With this environment and team spirit the Dodgers can only go up from here.
Madison looks to keep their spark alive heading into their next game where they face off against Mountain Lakes, home on Ted Monica Field.
