Signing day for Madison High School is a very special time for our school as the top athletes in the senior class sign their letters of intent to officially commit to their prospective colleges. The five athletes signing at MHS signing day this year, are Hadley Holland and Riley Holland, who will be attending the University of Southern California for girls lacrosse, Gabby Mariani, who will be attending Rutgers University also for girls lacrosse, Charlotte Tuhy, who will be attending American University for girls basketball, and Alex Patel, who will be attending Binghamton University for men’s golf.
Hadley Holland is committed to USC for girls lacrosse. Hadley has been a part of the varsity girls lacrosse team since her freshman year, and is looking forward to her senior season. At the moment, Hadley’s career stats include 145 goals, 63 assists, which combined is a total of 208 points, and 143 ground balls. With these impressive stats through her three years at MHS, she has led the team to many strong wins, and has helped with the team’s overall success.
Riley Holland is a big defensive threat who is also committed to USC for girls lacrosse. She was injured her sophomore and junior year with a torn ACL, but looks to make a huge comeback for her senior season. As a freshman, Riley had 10 ground balls and 6 forced turnovers, leading the defensive unit to a successful season. She was a big part of the team, locking down the opponents best players.
Gabby Mariani is committed to Rutgers University to play girls lacrosse. She has been a varsity starter for Madison High School since her freshman year. Her career totals include 145 goals and 49 assists with a total of 194 points. She also had an impressive 223 draw controls and 248 ground balls. She is a top scorer on the team, and is also a big part of the team’s success. She is a leader on and off the field and is taking her talents to the next level to play division one lacrosse.
Alex Patel is committed to Binghamton University for boys golf. In 2024, he set a high school record 1.67 over par average. He was first team all NJAC and individual Sectional Champion. Some of his non-MHS stats include Blue Devil Invitational runner up, 1st place Ike qualifier, 1st place Met Junior qualifier, and Runner up Mountain Classic. He is also a leader on and off the course with many saying that he is a great inspiration to the high school team.
Charlotte Tuhy is committed to American University (AU) to play basketball. Charlotte has a total of 1,685 points in her basketball career which is more than any man in Madison history. She averaged 25 points and 12 rebounds per game last season, and was the leader in the NJAC conference for points both sophomore and junior year. She was All-County and All-Conference three years in a row, and was 2nd team All-State her junior season. She is 95 points away from becoming the all time leading scorer in Madison history. She led her team to win two state sectional titles in the past three years. She is a great leader on and off the court helping her team be very successful.
All five of these athletes still have their senior season left to play.
