Going into their third conference game, the team was determined to win against their final competitor and fierce rival: Mountain Lakes, after losing in overtime to the Lakers in the first game of the season. Madison fought hard, keeping the score 0-0 in the first half. Going into the second, they were let down after Mountain Lakes scored the first goal, but they never gave up. In the final 20 minutes, Anna Gominiak brought the score to a tie with a goal from Maddie Aromando’s assist. Both teams fought for the tie-breaker, and in the last couple of minutes, Gabby Mariani scored with an assist from Camryn Visich, bringing the final score to 2-1.
