The Madison boys soccer team is off to a hot start at 5-0, coming off a 6-10 season last year.
The Dodgers are returning seven starters from last year, one of them being their leading scorer Matthew Munoz. After struggling last year, the boys are more determined than ever to have a good season this year.
The soccer team is outscoring opponents 17 goals to 6 goals. Matthew Munoz is leading the team with 7 goals so far this season. Additionally, junior goalie Callum Regan has 23 saves and has only let in 5 goals.
Knocking off Chatham early in the season, goalie Callum Regan stated that it was “A great confidence boost for our team, and should carry us to more victories in the future,” The Dodgers defeated Chatham 2-1 in a huge cross town rivalry.
If the Dodgers continue playing well, they are on track to win their conference. With ten games left, the Dodgers look to continue their momentum rolling and continue their undefeated season. The Dodgers take on Ridge today, September 19th, 2024, at Ted Monica at 4pm.
