The Madison Dodgers coming off of a great last season, having a record of 16-2-2, going 11-0 in the NJAC liberty division, and making the Final Round of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 2. They had a devastating loss in the final to Hanover Park, ending in penalties where HP went 4/5 and Madison shot 3/5.
The Dodgers opened up the season losing the first game to Mountain Lakes 2-1, but rebounded and won the next three, beating Elizabeth 3-0 away, demolishing Morris Tech 6-0 at Ted Monica, and beating Hanover Park 2-1 at the hive.
The Dodgers roster is very deep with a lot of young talent like junior Kate Reigle, who had a hat trick against Morris Tech and junior Anna Gominiak, who has 1 goal in two of her games and recorded two assists against Morris Tech.
There are also several Seniors who will be taking the torch from the 2024 graduating class and hopefully get redemption for their loss in the final last year. These include Avery Visich, Leah Fass, Gabby Mariani, and Maddie Armondo. “Last year was heartbreaking, this year, we are looking for everyone to step up and fill the roles that we need, that way we can have a successful season” 4 year Varsity athlete, Gabby said when asked about the season ahead.
The Dodgers still have a full season ahead of them with a lot of work to do. They have 11 games left in the season, with 5 of those being home games at Ted Monica Stadium. Clicking here will bring you to the full schedule to see exact dates a times of each of their games.
