Madison Volleyball ended their season with a number of accomplishments. Led by senior captains Hannah Piechnik and Chiara Papa, and junior captains Sydney Bruns and Katelyn Williams, the Dodgers had an overall record of 14-7 and took first place in their division.

Starting the season off strong, the Dodgers won their first six games in a row against Kinnelon, Hanover Park, Morris Catholic, Warren Hills, Dover, and Parsippany. In five of these six games, Madison was able to beat their opponent in just two sets.

Unfortunately, their winning streak was broken with a loss against Morris Knolls on September 28. It was a tight game, and Madison fought hard to win, taking it to three sets after losing the first with a final score of 25-21. They came back to win the second set 25-21, but lost the third 25-22.

This loss didn’t discourage Madison. The Dodgers won seven out of their next twelve games and made it as far as the quarter finals of the Morris County Tournament.

They won the Liberty Division conference championship in a decisive fashion over Dover.  They played on October 27. It was an easy win for Madison, beating Dover in two sets with final scores of 25-11 in the first and 25-16 in the second.

After checking the title of conference champs off their bucket list, the Dodgers focused their attention on states. Many hard practices led to the Dodgers beating Rumson-Fair Haven in the quarterfinals on November 1 in three sets. They went on to play number-one-ranked Mendham in the semifinals just three days later. Madison’s season unfortunately came to a close after the Minutemen beat the Dodgers in a tough match. Madison was one of eight teams playing in their group in the state tournament, but it is unknown as of right now what place they finished overall.
