Rhode is a skincare brand founded by Hailey Rhode Bieber, specializing in skincare, as well as makeup and lip products. Although Rhode is fairly new, launching on June 15th 2022, the company has grown majorly over the past year. Hailey has continued acting as the creative director of the brand. In honor of Hailey’s birthday, the brand has released a special limited edition treat each year.
The birthday drops have typically contained a solo lip treatment or tint, described as a “rich, velvety gloss that melts onto lips,” or a duo, containing the lip product and a Peptide Glazing Fluid, which is a “dewy, lightweight gel serum that glides effortlessly.” In 2022, Rhode released a Peptide Lip Treatment in Vanilla Cake, as well as the Birthday Duo set. The following year, in 2023, the brand released the solo Jelly Bean Peptide Lip Treatment and the Birthday Duo set, delivered in an adorable pink jelly bean pouch and gift box.
Leading up to Hailey’s 28th birthday on November 22, TikTok users have predicted what Rhode would release. Through Instagram, some users connected the dots, theorizing a collaboration with Community Goods, a cafe based in Los Angeles, California. This speculation turned out to be correct. Many users were excited to find out that the brand was launching a limited edition Peptide Lip Tint in a Cinnamon Roll shade. The product is described as a “shimmery spiced brown” with a delicious warm, glazed cinnamon roll scent. Community Goods began selling a new Hailey Bieber Cinnamilk Latte, going hand in hand with the cinnamon roll lip treatment. The duo this year is accompanied by one of the Pocket Blushes, with buyer’s being able to choose a shade of their choice.
Additionally, Rhode hosted pop-ups in LA, at both Community Goods locations. The shops were in a photobooth style layout where participants would be able to take pictures, then receive a Cinnamon Roll peptide lip tint when placing a “coin” into a slot at the photobooth, where the product would come out like a vending machine, completely free of charge. Rhode’s approach to combining limited-edition products with community-focused experiences has created a strong fanbase that is eager to see what Hailey and her team will release next.
