Any American with access to news networks or websites has heard about the Blasey-Ford/Kavanaugh testimonies. If you happen to be unaware of tumultuous trial; Dr. Christine Blasey-Ford, a professor and research psychologist at Stanford University, has accused President Trump’s nominee of Supreme Court Justice, Brett Kavanaugh, of sexual assault, 35 years ago. Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh gave emotional testimonies, defending their honor. Dr. Ford said she was “100% certain”, that it was Judge Kavanaugh, who attempted to rape her, as a 17-year-old at a small gathering at a friends house, where both parties were under the influence of alcohol. Although Dr. Ford said she was certain it was Judge Kavanaugh who assaulted her, Kavanaugh vehemently denied the accusation. Many viewed his testimony as aggressive and accusatory while others viewed it as powerful and emotional.

But, after a long deliberation and hearing many conflicted senators recount how they might vote, Judge Kavanaugh was confirmed Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. The confirmation sparked an outcry of activists and supporters of various Women’s Rights Groups, especially supporters of the “Me Too” movement. Those who believe Dr. Ford told the truth are now protesting and urging everyone to vote in the midterm election. Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation has put a new meaning on the phrase “I Believe Her”.
