Lucy, a cross between a labrador retriever and an irish water spaniel is able to detect cancer correctly more than 95% of the time. Over the course of seven years Lucy learned to sniff out bladder, kidney, and prostate cancer.

Two mummified cave lion cubs were discovered in Russia.  This big cat went extinct 10,000 years ago, and was one of the largest big cats ever.  This discovery is one of the most complete and high quality fossil of this species ever discovered.

There’s a new test that is able to determine gender based on residual amino acids in your fingerprints. This test is continuing to be developed in the hopes that ethnicity and age could also be determined. This test could open door for quicker forensics, because while DNA tests will always be more reliable, they are also time consuming.

On Friday November 13th, over 120 people were killed in the shootings led by Isis which was located in Paris, France. The shootings took place in four different locations where many innocent people were held hostage. The President of France declared the attack as a state of emergency.

The assumed “ringleader” of the recent Paris attacks (November 13th) has been killed in a police raid in France. He died in an apartment in the Saint-Denis region of Paris.

A Sikh Canadian man who took a bathroom selfie with an iPad has recently been photoshopped as a terrorist. In the photoshopped image, Veerender Jubbal appears to be holding a Quran and wearing a suicide bomber’s vest. After he was published on the front page of a Spanish newspaper as one of the Paris terrorists, he was bombarded with hate over social media, and he now intends to sue.

Security forces have reportedly launched a counterassault on a hotel in the capital of the West African nation of Mali, where officials say gunmen took dozens of hostages and killed at least three people Friday morning.

Today in the West African nation of Mali gunmen stormed a Radisson Blu hotel. The gunmen seized  hostages and left bodies across the building.
