Sunday, October 18th, Papermill Playhouse’s new show, The Bandstand, had its opening night. It is the world premiere of the show and stars Broadway veterans Laura Osnes, Corey Cott, and Beth Leavel. The show runs through November 8th.

War torn and now drenched Yemen gets hit with tropical Cyclone. The first tropical storm to ever hit yemen dumped more rain fall in one sitting than the whole year. Yemen has already been destroyed due to war with ISIS and now is running into worse humanitarian problems.

43 Chipotles have closed down in the Pacific Northwest due to E Coli complaints. The cause of the illness is most likely a vegetable option at the chain restaurant. None of the afflicted customers has died, but a third have been hospitalised.

A Chicago boy accidently shoots his brother with a gun while they were playing. Their father is facing charges because he bought the gun and kept it in their home.

A cattle rancher from Idaho was shot and killed yesterday in an altercation with the police. The fatal situation arose when one of his bulls ran into the highway, and was hit by a car. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, where the injured bull was behaving very aggressively towards all humans. As they debated putting the bull down, the rancher, Jack Yantis, showed up with a rifle and began firing at the police, who fired back and killed him. Authorities are in the process of gathering more information regarding this unfortunate event.
Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk who was a put in prison for not abiding to the law and issuing wedding licenses to gay couples, has made a new appeal in court. Her lawyers hope to have her punishments revoked from her record forever.

The owner of Tinder, OkCupid, and other dating brands filled to go public on Friday, 10/16. Match group as more that 40 other dating brands and plans to list on the NASDAQ under the ticker “MTCH.” It’s goal is “to increase romantic creativity worldwide.”

Lamar Odom is communicating with body language and short sentences following his three day coma. Odom was in a coma after being found unconscious from an illegal drug combination while he was at a brothel in Las Vegas last Tuesday. He is expected to recover, not fully however since four of his vital organs had failed in his coma. He has a long road ahead of him.

Marine Biologists studying the coral reefs around the Solomon islands have discovered the first bioluminescent reptile, a variety of the hawksbill sea turtle. Currently they are investigating the nature of this bizarre glowing reptile, as they have only speculative ideas as to the purpose of this adaptation.

As our space exploration get deeper and more extensive the next planet on the list is Mars. But the problem with this 140 million trip comes many issues. Along the way astronauts need places to refuel their rockets. The only viable option will hopefully come from asteroids that hope to be mined. Drilling into a moving object will not be easy but NASA hopes to have it up and running within five years.
