  • The NFL has suspended New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady for four games in relation to the “Deflategate” incident in which the Patriots team was found to have deflated footballs in an effort to give themself an advantage in the playoffs.

  • American Idol will end in 2016 at the conclusion of its fifteenth season. The show, one of the first broadcast vocal competitions, was quickly followed by similar programming by Fox’s rival networks. Since its 2002 premiere, American Idol has produced stars such as Carrie Underwood and Kelly Clarkson.
