Before gym class begins, you have to take those 4 minutes in the beginning to get changed in MHS’s not-so-likable locker rooms. Upon entering the locker rooms, there are always immediate complaints:
“Why is it so dark in here all the time?”
“Ew it smells, this school is ratchet.”
“It smells like BO and feet. Who is that?”
“I need to go to the bathroom. Lemme bring my phone for a flashlight.”
“Ugh there’s such a long bathroom line, can’t they just take out those showers and put in more stalls?”
Take into consideration that these are the complaints in the girls’ locker room. There are similar complaints coming from the boys as well.
MHS locker rooms do not have lights in the bathroom, which to most, is the biggest dilemma. We have to bring our phones just to go to the bathroom before class starts. However, on the girls’ behalf, we are thankful to have finally gotten locks on the stalls and sinks that don’t spray water all over ourselves.
The locker rooms are still in desperate need of a make over. There’s a stench ingrained in the floor and walls that never seems to go away, making everyone cringe as they open the door, awaiting the wave of the horrid smell. The lights don’t turn on in the bathroom, which does not affect anything as the locker room is dark and dingy to begin with.
NO ONE uses the showers. Not only do they not work, no one has time to shower in the few minutes post-class even if they wanted to. They should be removed and new bathroom stalls should be put in place considering the line is always painfully long.
Not only is the main locker room an issue, but the Varsity locker room poses problems. There are several complaints coming from that locker room, mainly concerned with the smell that never seems to go away. Most people would agree it is time for MHS to upgrade our locker rooms.
