Thursday night, Madison High School’s library courtyard was aglow with twinkling fairy lights and alive with the sound of wonderful musical performances. The Glyphs Outdoor Coffeehouse, the opening event of the year for MHS’s Literary Magazine, was a huge success. The line-up featured both musical performances and readings of original works, all of which represented the immense amount of talent MHS’s student body possesses.
Some acts featured were Will Wraith singing “Drop in the Ocean,” Jess Schuszler and Kat Dilonno performing “Let Her Go” (vocals and guitar, respectively), Whitney Xu singing an original piece entitled “Till I Die” (check her out on SoundCloud!), and Brian Rigby rocking on the guitar with “Got My Mojo Working”. Katie Brundage also shared a wonderful poem entitled “I Hate Everything” and Dylan Lai did a rousing rendition of “What a Woman Wants”. Many thanks go to Abi Raymaker who recorded all the performances as well as performing her own pieces. The coffeehouse was an enormous success. Be on the look out for the next one, as it’s sure to be great!
