The Madison girl’s lacrosse team is relentless. Despite finishing last season with a somewhat disappointing record of 7-11, this year they have exploded into one of the most powerful teams in the county, enjoying the number 3 spot in the county.
Senior Captain and attackman Ali Jago said, “Last year we didn’t really connect as a team but this year everything seems to be coming together; we’re 9-2.” As a captain, she is “trying to keep everyone on board and make it clear that they take it seriously this year.” She’s doing a great job, as shown by the Dodger’s recent win over Villa Walsh, the number 4 team in the county. Winning games like these, Ali says, “are turning points in a season.”
However, the girls lacrosse team still has to make improvements. Sophomore attackman Mckenzie Rambusch said, “Although we are doing better than last year it could still be better. We are definitely growing as a team but we still need work and if we continue working I think we can become a really great team.”
