Junior Patty Doyle is about to begin her first EP in the summer of 2013, which will be available on iTunes. “An EP stands for extended play. It’s basically a short album coupled with a bigger album,” Doyle explained.
Doyle has been performing in NJ Idols, a vocal competition that is open to New Jersey residents from ages 15-29. The singer auditioned for NJ Idols and was accepted for her music and vocal talent. “I dreamt about being a recorded artist, but I didn’t know how it worked,” she said.
Doyle has been singing since she was young. She began guitar lessons while she was 13 and quickly learned to play with ease, and has spent most of her time since writing songs. She produced song titles, which she considered “radio good,” or more advanced than her old writing, the same year. Some such song titles were “Great Pretender” and “September.” Soon after, she began to perform publicly.
Her first public performance was Bottle Hill Day in 2009, where she sang a cover of “Hey Stephen” by Taylor Swift. Since then, she has done multiple performances such as Idols For A Cause in 2010, the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and NJ Idols.
