Students at Madison High School know a good number of people who have left or graduated from the school, but most would be surprised to know how successful (or unsuccessful) the former students have been. Madison High School has some very notable alumni. From comedians, to quarterbacks, to a murderer, Madison has had some amazing people come out of it.
Helena Antonaccio, for example, graduated in 1967, and became a Playboy Playmate. She was also Playmate of the month in June 1969. Another is Neil O’Donnell, who became quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals, and New York Jets. Another notable former student is Jeaneane Garofalo, who, though she didn’t graduate from MHS, became a comedian and actress. Another graduate was Eddie Trunk, who became a heavy metal radio host.
Probably the most shocking of all the alumni is Dean Faiello. Faiello graduated in 1977. In 1998, he was charged multiple times with possessions of controlled substances, forgery, and possession of forged instruments. On April 13th, 2003, he killed Maria Cruz while performing illegal plastic surgery on her. After she died, instead of calling the police like a friend instructed him to do, he took her to his Newark home and buried the body under his garage. Her body wasn’t found until February 18, 2004. Faiello is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence.
It can be amazing to know who walked through the hallways of Madison High School, going to the same classes as all of the students now. Thinking about the chance that a celebrity sat in the spot you sit in during history, or wrote on the same white board that you did in math class. Of course, things have changed, the school has changed as well. These former students of Madison High School could shock the students that attend the school now.
