Fever, muscle aches, headaches…Uh oh, looks like the flu is back again, but this time, even stronger than before. Fiercely making its way across the U.S, the flu is reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to have made a ten-state jump to a whopping 41 states. With a greater likelihood for intensive-care unit cases, even deaths, the latest outbreak of the influenza virus is taking no prisoners.
Senior Matt McDonald is all too familiar with this stating, “I’ve never felt so sick before, and I really didn’t get out of bed for three days. I started feeling bad in the morning, and then it hit me like a brick in the afternoon. I felt zero out of ten. It was truly a terrible experience.”
So, if you’re feeling any of the following symptoms: fever, headache, fatigue, dry cough, sore throat, nasal congestion, body aches; please stay home from your school and/or workplace to prevent the spread of the virus.
