Thursday, February 10th, the Dodger boys basketball team went into their game against Hanover Park with a record of two wins and four losses. They started the game off strong, opening the first quarter with points scored by juniors Gavin Wallace and Terry Brennan, as well as senior Sean Haughey. Madison took the lead in the first quarter with a score of fifteen points. Hanover trailed closely behind with ten points.
The Dodgers fought hard to keep the lead as the game continued but ended the second half three points behind the Hornets with a score of 25 to 28. From that point, Hanover Park broke away from the close score, gaining 12 more points in the third quarter and totaling a score of 40 while Madison scored only 9 points for a total of 34 points. “We fought hard in the beginning, we started falling apart at the end there, but I know we can do better during the rest of the season.” Says junior, Terry Brennan, regarding the game. The Hornets continued to score and Madison lost 35 to 51, putting their record at two wins and five losses.
