The seniors at MHS, in light of the Newtown tragedy, were in for a rude awakening when schools across the country began issuing new and improved security procedures. After experiencing senior privilege, the seniors are used to walking through the doors in correlation to where they parked. However, with new rules and regulations set in stone, only the front doors may be used after 7:45. Realistically, this means a greater sense of punctuality among students, and an even smaller amount of down time.
Despite the fact that this new code is for our safety, it has caused a bit of a stir among students. Those who prop doors for students coming in past 7:45 are now considered to committing a security violation and are held accountable for jeopardizing the safety of the student body. A bit severe? You tell us.
