Last year, rising seniors were introduced to the idea of block scheduling. Generally, when senior year comes around, High School is nothing new, almost second nature. However, to some, the first week of senior year felt like freshman year all over again; New scheduling, new kids, new responsibilities. Anticipated by the senior class to be, “ineffective,” block scheduling turned out to be just the opposite. Seniors Eric Lehmann and Luke Peglau say, “I actually like it much more than I thought I would.” Annie Doherty says, “It was pleasant surprise to see how much the work load has lessened.” Tori Ellis and Christian Raho agreed, adding that the days seem to go by much faster, and it’s nice to only have three periods before lunch. One commonality in all the responses made by the seniors is that block scheduling has not lessened the excitement for the year to come, and that it seems to have made the weeks a lot more enjoyable, and a lot less stressful.
