Tanner Purdum, four-year NFL veteran, made Monday night practice very special for some of Madison’s youngest football players. Purdum has been the starting long snapper for the New York Jets since he was signed to a three-year contract by NFL agent and Madison pre-clinic assistant coach Robert Roche. Purdum also has a Master of Arts in Education from Baker University, where he played quarterback. During Monday practice, Purdum shared his enthusiasm for education and football alike, encouraging the young Dodgers to keep up good grades and work hard enough in practice to enter the collegiate and professional levels. He concluded his conversation by distributing autographed fliers for Sports Football Clinic, LLC, which features Purdum and other professional players during the off-season.
